Accommodation at UNSW
UNSW Village, Kensington, NSW, AUSTRALIA
Opening January 2010, UNSW Village will provide state of the art brand new student accommodation on the main Kensington Campus of UNSW.
To be owned and operated by Campus Living Villages, Australia's largest provider of student accommodation, the new Village is conveniently located adjacent to the University's residential halls, along High Street, facing the Randwick Race Course. It will be in easy walking distance of all parts of the Kensington Campus.
Incorporating benchmark Environmental Sustainability Design initiatives, the Village features 1018 beds in a variety of configurations from one bed to six and eight bed apartments. All apartments will be fully furnished and include all the facilities required for the 'study' lifestyle, including ample work space and high speed internet access in all rooms.
Current plans include maintaining and renovating the current Fig Tree Theatre, while also adding additional amenities such as cafes, a convenience store, an e-library, laundries and a limited number of parking spaces. These physical facilities will be supported by a comprehensive student support program which will focus on growth and development as much as social, sport and cultural interaction.
Applications for accommodation at UNSW Village will commence in the 2nd semester of 2008 for the 2010 year.
